This policy explains how HomeKakis ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects your personal data, in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). HomeKakis is operated by [TBC: legal entity name], a company being incorporated in Singapore (UEN [TBC]).

1. What we collect

When you join our waitlist or contact us, we collect the details you give us: your name, your estate and block, your email address and/or WhatsApp number, the categories you're interested in, and anything you tell us in messages. Our website host may also record basic technical data, such as your browser type and pages visited.

2. Why we collect it and how we use it

We use your details to:

• contact you about group buys for your estate and the categories you chose;
• understand demand in your estate so we can negotiate with vendors;
• answer your questions and follow up on a purchase you make through a HomeKakis group buy.

3. Sharing your details

We do not sell your personal data. We pass your details to a vendor only when you ask us to, for example when you choose to go ahead with a group deal, and only the details the vendor needs to serve you. We use service providers, such as our website and form host, who process data for us under appropriate safeguards. We may disclose data where the law requires it.

4. Consent and withdrawal

By ticking the consent box on our forms, you agree to us using your details as described here. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing hello@homekakis.sg. We will stop contacting you and process your request within [TBC] working days. Withdrawing may mean we can no longer tell you about group buys.

5. Access and correction

You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, how it has been used, or to correct it, by emailing hello@homekakis.sg. We will respond as soon as reasonably possible.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your details only as long as we need them for the purposes above, and for no longer than [TBC] after your last contact with us, unless the law requires longer. After that, we delete or anonymise them.

7. Protecting your data

We take reasonable security measures to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, use or disclosure.

8. Data outside Singapore

Our service providers may store data outside Singapore. Where they do, we take steps to ensure it is protected to a standard comparable to the PDPA.
